FC 54 - Executive Block (NLMM01)

 

Executive block function codes define several variables that affect module operation. Function code 54 pertains only to the NLMM01 Logic Master Module. Function code 54 resides in fixed block two and produces no usable outputs.

 

The IMLMM02 module uses function codes 105 (executive block), 106 (segment control block) and 108 (extended executive), instead of function code 54.

54.1  Explanation

 

The NLMM01 Logic Master Module manipulates various logic functions and I/O operations. Configure blocks four through 127 for logic functions and blocks 128 through 255 for logic or I/O functions in groups of eight. Specifications S3 through S36 define the minimum and maximum exception reporting times for each group of blocks.

 

54.1.1 Specifications

 

S1 - CNFLOK

(Configuration lock) Specification S1 is the block address of

the configuration lock. The default value of S1 is block

address zero, which is unlocked configuration. A logic 1 locks

the configuration. Once locked, a configuration cannot be

unlocked. To change a locked configuration, the module must

be initialized and reconfigured.

S2 - MBUPD

(Module bus update time) Specification S2 defines the

update rate for all module bus inputs to NLMM01 modules in

a single PCU. This value is selected in ten millisecond increments.

The default value is ten updates per second. I/O to

the field synchronizes with the module execution. Each time

a module updates, it receives a new input and transmits a

new output to the field.

S3 through S36

(Minimum and maximum exception reporting times for

blocks four through 255)

 

MIN - Minimum Exception Report Time

Minimum exception report time defines the minimum interval

between updates of information sent on the communication

highway. This adjusts signal timing and affects the loading of

the communication highway. Exception reports are not sent

on the communication highway at each minimum exception

report interval unless the value has changed since the last

exception report. Exception report time is selected in 250 millisecond

increments with the default value set to one report

per second.

 

MAX - Maximum Exception Report Time

Maximum exception report time defines the maximum interval

between updates of information sent on the communication

highway. If a value of a point has not changed over this

time period, a report of its current value is automatically sent

on the communication highway after this time. Select exception

report time in 250 millisecond increments. The default

value is one report per minute. The manual set integer function

code provides a tunable integer constant.
