FC 49 - Digital Output Buffer (LMM Modules)

Logic master modules use the digital output buffer function code to connect digital inputs and logical configurations to the termination device. Only output signals should connect to digital output buffers. There is no logical function performed.

49.1  Examples

Figure 49-1 illustrates the use of function code 49 blocks to carry both input signals and signals from logical functions to termination connections. Logic functions occupying blocks not defined as group I/O outputs and all digital inputs require digital output buffer blocks. Logic functions cannot occupy blocks defined for inputs. Function code 49 is used in combination with group I/O outputs. For more information in group I/O definition, reference function codes 60 (NLMM01) and 107 (IMLMM02).
