FC 158 - Enhanced Analog Point Definition (IMAMM03)

The enhanced analog point definition function code sets up blocks in an IMAMM03 Analog Master Module that are required to perform:

 

This block resides in fixed blocks one though 64 on the IMAMM03 module.

Specification S1 defines the input type and must be consistent

with the type of ASM module providing the input.

 

Input type:

1XX = External cold junction input (refer to S11)

Specification S3 is the engineering unit identifier.

 

S4

Specification S4 sets the zero value of the input.

Specification S5 sets the span value of the input.

Specification S6 is the significant change in percent of span.

Specification S7 is the high alarm value.

Specification S8 is the low alarm value.

 

S9

Specification S9 is the lead wire resistance in ohms.

 

NOTES:

  1. Specification S9 is not relevant for IMASM01 module input types.

  2. Specification S9 is not required by any type of input. It is an option used for accuracy.

 

TC = total ohms

RTD = ohms per leg (3 wire)

RTD 2 wire = ohms in leg 1 – ohms in leg 2

RTD 3 wire = ohms in any leg

 

S10

Specification S10 is the block number of the polynomial adjustment block (zero equals not defined). Any block can reference 165 through 196.

 

S11

Specification S11 is the block number of the cold junction block in degrees Celsius.

 

0 = no block defined (use cold junction RTD)

255 = no cold junction needed

 

Blocks 165 through 196 are predefined. If S2 equals 1XX (external cold junction input), a block number must be entered for S11.
